About us

AsyLex is a Swiss non-profit organisation which supports refugees by providing free legal aid. All activities are financed by donations and made possible by more than 150 volunteers working for free. Our Lebanon team responds to requests from refugees in Lebanon and is part of our International Cooperation Team, which manages AsyLex’s international network, is responsible for humanitarian visas and also includes Italy Team and Greece Team.

What you will do

In order to strengthen our Lebanon team, we are looking for a new member. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Advising and supporting clients in their legal matters in Lebanon (e.g. humanitarian visa, resettlement, social and medical support) and referring clients to partner organizations
• Maintaining and establishing a network of partner organizations in Lebanon
• Responding to requests from partner organizations

What we are looking for

You have an academic background in law, political science, international relations or in a related field. Ideally you are currently based in Lebanon or have previous experience in Lebanon or the Middle East. Previous experience in human rights and/or volunteering is also an asset. Fluency in English is required, Arabic or any other language is a plus. You are reliable, committed and you have strong organisational skills. Moreover, you have a profound interest in asylum and refugee issues and are passionate about helping people and assisting them in their legal matters.
